Rainy Days Are so Magical!

It has been raining all day and I absolutely love it!

Rain smells and sounds so good.

To me, the scent of the rain is intoxicating. It is sweet, fresh and makes me feel alive. It has a distinct fragrance that elicits nostalgic feelings and makes me feel so happy.

And the sound of the rain is magical. The pitter-patter of the drops hitting the ground and the sprinkling against the fall leaves makes me feel so relaxed and at peace.

I start thinking about my childhood. I remember running to catch the bus for school and the crunching of the fall leaves beneath my feet. I have always loved this time of year where it was a little chilly but nothing a sweater couldn't fix. The light breeze would gently brush against my face and I would smell that wonderful scent. It's the scent of Fall and for me, it's so comforting!

But why does it smell so good?

It's Mother Nature! The rain moistens the soil, the trees, plants and everything else around us. And all of that releases natural chemicals and oils, the reason for the wonderful aroma!
