Destruction

Oh what you do, you do so well.

You create seas of pain and cause our eyes to swell.

When I first witnessed your destruction, I was just a kid.

Then I built walls upon walls to avoid what you did.

But no wall can protect from the damage you do.

Twist our thoughts up to believe things to be true.

You crash into lives like a natural disaster.

You’re a thief but it’s hearts that you’re after.

You bring our defense to the lowest, then you go in for the strike.

First clouding our head, then taking our life.
